The 4 Essential Goals You Can’t Ignore

Reading time: 5 minutes

‘‘What do I want out of life?’’

A question most people don’t ask enough.

Even on 𝕏.

Most people are obsessed with financial goals.

But is that all you want?

I’m sure you’ve envisioned your perfect life.

And you think:

‘’This is impossible to achieve without money.’’

So what do you do?

You focus only on making money.

But let me tell you a secret...

There are a lot more essential things for your vision.

The Missing Pieces

Picture your vision with poor health.

You’re on a rollator because you sat behind your desk your whole life.

Now picture it all alone.

You neglected relationships along the way.

Now picture it filled with stress.

Worried about the markets.

Worried about keeping your wealth.

Some things are just as important as money:

  • Health

  • Peace of mind

  • Relationships

And don’t even think about saying:

‘’I’ll focus on those after I made money.’’

If you completely sacrifice these aspects, restoring them is nearly impossible.

  • You’ll spend a fortune on health to make it less bad, not better

  • Your relationships will be hollow. Everyone will be out for your money.

  • You peace of mind? Gone—because your entire identity will be tied to wealth.

The Four Pillars Of Life

You have 4 goals:

  • A health goal

  • A wealth goal

  • A relationships goal

  • A happiness goal

When working toward a goal...

You have 2 options:

  1. Building momentum

  2. Maintaining momentum

Losing momentum is not an option.

So first, you must determine the minimum viable effort in all 4 areas.

What are the bare minimum action required to not lose what you already have?

Here’s how I do it:

Wealth

I’m building wealth though my personal brand on 𝕏.

To reach my goal, I need to:

  • Write

  • Build

  • Network

  • Learn

But right now, we’re not talking about building momentum.

We’re talking about sustaining it.

The bare minimum I must do to not lose momentum:

  • 1 hour of writing per day

  • 1 hour of networking per day

Building and learning help me progress.

But they’re not necessary for maintaining what I already have.

Health

I work a lot.

But the human body is meant to move.

No movement = no health.

No health = no productivity.

How could I maintain my health?

Here’s how:

Morning routine (25 min)

It consists of:

  • 10 minutes joint movement

  • 5 minutes stretches

  • 10 minutes shadowboxing

Then, I dive into my first 2-hour deep work block.

Long walk (1 hour)

When I’m done with my work-block, I go on a long walk.

Here’s why:

  • It refreshes my brain for the next work block

  • It improves my posture

  • It burns calories

  • It’s a great mindfulness exercise

Evening workout (35 min)

Then later in the day, after all the work is complete, I exercise.

This time at high intensity.

  • Goal: Increase heart rate

  • Activities: Running, shadowboxing, swimming, etc.

In total, I spend 2 hours maintaining my health.

Relationships

This depends on the person.

If you have kids or a partner, you’ll need to spend more time with them.

But the key is awareness.

Ask yourself:

‘’What is the least I could do to sustain the most meaningful relationships I already have?’’

Remember:

The goal is to have a base layer.

For me, that means spending about 14 hours per week with:

  • My girlfriend

  • My closest friends

  • My parents

Some weeks it’s more.

Some weeks it’s less.

Happiness

I define happiness as peace of mind.

When working toward a goal...

It’s easy to feel dissatisfied with the present.

You’re also constantly thinking about:

  • Your future

  • Your business

  • Your problems

This can disconnect you from reality.

If you’re always thinking, you’re living in a world of symbols.

But life isn’t words or thoughts.

It’s an experience.

That’s why I meditate.

Just sit with your eyes closed and observe:

  • The sounds around you

  • Your thoughts and feelings

  • Your breath

Don’t try to control it.

Just watch it.

I also read before bed.

Why?

Thinking about business or staring at a screen before sleep activates your brain.

Making it much harder to fall asleep.

In total, I spend about 1 hour per day on reading and meditation.

The calculations

On average, here’s how much time I spend maintaining my goals:

  • Wealth: 2 hours/day

  • Health: 2 hours/day

  • Relationships: 2 hours/day

  • Happiness: 1 hour/day

Total: 7 hours/day

We all have 24 hours in a day.

  • 8 hours of sleep

  • 4 hours on biological imperatives (eating, drinking, showering, toilet, etc.)

That leaves 5 hours of freedom a day.

What do you do with it?

Option 1: Distribute it evenly across all areas.

Building momentum in all aspects.

But it could take a lifetime to achieve your goals this way.

Option 2: Go all-in on one area.

This is what I’m doing now.

I put all my extra time on work—because that’s the goal that will change my life the most.

If I build a sustainable income with 𝕏, I’ll gain:

  • Time freedom

  • Location freedom

  • A path to financial freedom

But that’s not all...

There’s a way to free up even more time.

How?

You can combine different aspects:

  • Health + Relationships → Go to the gym with a friend.

  • Health + Happiness → Take a long walk in nature.

  • Relationships + Biological Imperatives → Eat with family.

  • Health + Wealth → Buy a standing desk.

Every extra hour you dedicate to an area builds momentum faster.

But one thing you shouldn’t do?

Distract yourself.

When distractions are present, building momentum is nearly impossible.

If you still struggle with this, I can help.

DM me “Focus” if you want my help.

Much love,

Tibor
